The first beach in Europe for disabled and special needs people is scheduled to open in the summer of 2018 in Constanţa, Romania. The therapeutic equipment is inspired after the ones already in use in the United States of America.
According to the Black Sea Psychological Support Center for Autistic People, the therapeutic park will be opened on the “3 Slippers” Beach in Constanţa. This unique project in Europe will have a 22,000 square meters of beach and annexed therapeutic areas, both for disabled people and for the tourists who want to lend a helping hand to people in the process of recovery.
The Disabled Beach Therapeutic Park will include sun loungers, sports and music therapy, a spiritual practice tent, wheelchair ramps, a stage for different shows and events, relaxation garden, hydration point, playgrounds, mobile pontoon for water jumping, areas for visual, tactile and hearing stimulation, sensory alley, pottery workshop, canine therapy space with the help of Sunny, the dog - international certificate, floating mobile seats for people with disabilities, locker rooms, showers, toilets, first-aid tent, etc.
