Discrimination, the action through which some people are treated differently or lacking certain rights, unreasonably or based on unsubstantiated grounds, is in charge of educational fora attention from our country.
In most democratic countries, equal treatment is generally guaranteed by the Constitution.
Even so, the phenomenon is difficult to be controlled, especially in the case of adults.
The specialists estimates, however, that students’ optics on discrimination could be changed easily and they also call the teachers for cooperating. Csaba Asztalos, president of the National Council for Combating Discrimination, says that students can study management discriminatory acts.
"This principle should be implemented in their professional training and must be a feature of their teaching ability, which can happen even since college."For example, at the pedagogical module would be introduced a subject that is to teach this principle, namely, the conflict management that are based on discrimination issues.
What we notice in this practice is that teachers do not recognize the facts of discrimination, if they recognize them they do not know how to manage them", says Csaba Asztalos.
The statement was made by the President of the National Council for Combating Discrimination, Csaba Asztalos, within the "educational solutions to combat racism and discrimination in Romania" conference, held in Bucharest.
