Tourists storm the seaside. Rules for the beach
Articol de Sorin Cealera, Constanța, 24 Iulie 2021, 22:51
The Black Sea coast has been stormed these days, but many tourists do not follow certain rules on the beach.
Lifeguards warn them to be careful when the red flag is up, which prohibits entry into the water, because they may be in danger of drowning.
At the same time, meteorologists predict hot days, and those on vacation should not be exposed to excessive sunlight. Our correspondent Sorin Cealera has some recommendations:
Reporter: Tourists are urged to be cautious this weekend, not to venture into the sea beyond the marked area and to stay in the shade as much as possible, to avoid sunstroke and lipotomy.
Lifeguards hoisted the yellow flag on several beaches, which allows only those with experience to bathe, because of the rough sea. Valentin Ivan, head of Mamaia Sud sector:
Valentin Ivan: I hoisted the yellow flag. Our recommendation, and that of lifeguards, is not to venture too far offshore, because there are current that can pull you from shore to sea, therefore creating accidents.
Reporter: Lifeguards recommend extra attention on the wide beach in Mamaia, in the sandy area, from where many tourists have left and went south or in Navodari.
Valentin Ivan: It's a little more dangerous, the waves are very big, especially because they break on the shore, and the depth increases suddenly, in 5 meters from the shore the depth is over 1.70.
Reporter: Especially for children, I suspect it is dangerous.
Valentin Ivan: Pay close attention to children. Parents need to be aware of this, be more careful this weekend. That is our recommendation.
Reporter: On Sunday the temperature will rise to 31 degrees, and the thermal discomfort will be pronounced. Tourists should avoid the sudden entry in the water after staying on the beach and not be exposed to the sun for a long time.
