The shortest day of the year
Articol de Florin Lepădatu, 21 Decembrie 2020, 18:33
The winter solstice took place today, Monday, at 12:02, after which the days started to be longer and longer.
On Monday, the length of the day will be 8 hours and 50 minutes, and the longest night of the year will be marked by a spectacular phenomenon: the planets Jupiter and Saturn will apparently approach each other and will be visible as a double star.
In Bucharest, the phenomenon can be seen with the naked eye, if we look to the southwest after 17:00 until 19:00 - according to the "Admiral Vasile Urseanu" Astronomical Observatory, Rador notes.
