The Minister of National Defense met the CEO of Lockheed Martin

The Minister of National Defense, Angel Tilvar, met with the CEO of the American company Lockheed Martin, Jim Taiclet, on the occasion of the Munich Security Conference.
The American company will speed up the delivery of the equipment contracted by Romania and will develop production capacities in the country to ensure the maintenance of the purchased equipment.
Angel Tilvar said that the joint projects with the American manufacturer of military equipment are a strategic priority for Romania, including the European F-16 Aircraft Pilot Training Center in Fetesti.
The Romanian Minister of Defense reaffirmed that Bucharest is allocating, for the ninth consecutive year, more than 2% of GDP to the defense budget, of which more than 20% is earmarked for major purchases of modern combat technology.
