The Romanian Air Force aircraft, which transported a Romanian citizen from Kabul to Islamabad, will return to Afghanistan to pick up another 14 Romanians, said Prime Minister Florin Citu.
He stressed that solutions are being sought to bring the other Romanians who are to be evacuated from Afghanistan to the airport in Kabul.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Bucharest specified yesterday that the Romanian military plane picked up a Romanian citizen employed by a NATO agency.
The aircraft arrived safely in Islamabad, being assisted on arrival by the staff of the Romanian Embassy in Pakistan.
Romanians who need help can turn to the Crisis Cell set up by the Romanian state.
So far, 33 Romanian citizens were registered as present in Afghanistan, 16 of them requesting assistance for evacuation from Afghan territory.
They are employees of a NATO agency, of a UN program, respectively of a security company with activities in this country.
