The Council Square in Brasov hosts from today, the last holiday edition of the Gaudeamus Radio Romania Book Fair.
The event is part of the Gaudeamus Caravan, a project of national scope, initiated and carried out for over 20 years by Radio Romania.
The edition's offer includes both the traditional elements specific to a book fair, as well as a series of novelties addressed exclusively to the Brasov public.
Mihai Cojocaru from Radio Romania Brasov FM gives us all the details of this event:
Reporter: We are only a few hours away from the last holiday edition of the Gaudeamus Radio Romania Book Fair.
From 12:00 until September 4, Brasov's Council Square becomes a real open-air library.
The newest editorials published in the last few days, book launches and autograph sessions with the participation of some of the most representative men and women of writing from Brasov, nationally recognized cultural personalities, contests with book prizes addressed to fair visitors, discounts and special offers will transform the city at the foot of Tampa Mountain into an unmissable destination for reading enthusiasts.
Two contests dedicated exclusively to students from Brasov will be organized, invited to get actively involved in the life of the local community.
The Brasov edition is organized by the Gaudeamus team and Radio Romania Brasov FM and is co-financed by the Brasov City Hall.
For fans of online events, but also for those who will not be able to come to Brasov this week, the gaudeamus.ro website will bring a touch of the incomparable atmosphere of the Gaudeamus Book Fair through the virtual stands of all the participants and through the events transmitted live from Council Square.
