The first convoy with French military equipment arrived yesterday evening in Romania, at the Nadlac Customs, the Ministry of National Defense reported.
It travelled to the Cincu Base, in Brasov county.
The convoy consists of armored personnel carriers and complements the technical means of the NATO Battle Group, led by France, which also includes Belgian and Dutch soldiers.
A second convoy, made up of a Leclerc tank company, is to enter Romania in November.
The NATO battle group in Romania was established in May, through the transformation of the allied multinational elements within the NATO Response Force, deployed in the country.
