Reporter: Good evening. The French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Jean-Yves Le Drian, said in the plenary session of the Bucharest Parliament that for 15 years the European Union has been stronger and more complete. When you joined the European Union in 2007, Romania regained its place in the heart of Europe - said the French official who mentioned that the historic moment of 2007 was prepared by the historic moment of 1989.
The French official also referred to the current international situation and said that one of the biggest challenges is to establish a stable relationship with Russia.
In his speech, the President of the Senate, PNL leader Florin Citu, pointed out that Romania's accession to the European Union has brought prosperity, security and freedom, and the biggest gains are: the free movement of people, goods and capital. The leader of the Chamber of Deputies, Marcel Ciolacu, the PSD leader, showed that Romania's accession to the European Union was a great victory for our country, but also for Europe, and thanked France for being, in history, one of Romania's great supporters.
15 years after Romania's integration into the European Union, we need a new political pact, like the one in Snagov, a new European agenda to ensure Romania's development, Marcel Ciolacu also said.
Prime Minister Nicolae Ciuca pointed out that the 15 years since integration into the European Union have allowed significant transformations for the benefit of our citizens.
The European Union was an unequivocal option for Romanian citizens, Prime Minister Nicolae Ciuca also said.
The representatives of all the parliamentary groups - PSD, PNL, USR, AUR and UDMR - also appreciated that Romania's accession to the European Union was one of the most important events in the history of Romania, and Romania's place is in the European Union.
Director: Thank you, Alina Stanuta.
