Sibiu Christmas Fair opens on Friday evening

Sibiu is the first city in Romania to enter the atmosphere of winter holidays. Sibiu Christmas Fair - considered the most beautiful event of its kind in Romania - will open on Friday evening in the Great Square in the historical center of the city.

According to RRA Correspondent in Sibiu, Carmen Vulcan, the inaugural concert will be hosted by Monica Anghel and pan-flute player Radu Nechifor.

Over 100 wooden booths will provide visitors with Christmas ornaments, seasonal gifts and culinary preparations.

Children will have a fun mini-park, Santa's Workshop and an artificial ice rink.

13th edition of Sibiu Christmas Fair has become a true tourism brand, that has been attracting every year over 100 thousand visitors, from the country and abroad.

This weekend, occupancy rate in hotels and guesthouses in Sibiu is almost one hundred percent.
