Romanian journalists around the world gathered today for their international congress in Donji Milonovac, in Timoc Valley region from Serbia.
The topic of discussion is a very generous one: "Europe, manipulation minority".
At the congress participates also the minister delegated for Diaspora, Cristian David, the state secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Stejărel Olaru, and the president of the Romanian Cultural Institute, Andrei Marga.
Very important is Priest Alexandru Boia’s intervention, which again attracted attention and a warning signal regarding the Romanian minority in Timoc Valley, unacknowledged by the Serbian state, although it hosts 300,000 to 350,000 souls.
Father Boia tells me that Romanians from Timoc Valley want, before having the press in their native language, Romanian-language schools and church belonging to the
Romanian Patriarchate, identity rights of common sense, which also are found in the Constitution of the Serbian state.
The International Congress of Romanian journalists will continue tomorrow here, in Donji Milanovac.
