Romania has prepared environmental projects worth 1.7 billion euros, concerning water and wastewater infrastructure, which will be sent for approval to the European Commission.

Announcement has been made on Monday by Romanian Minister of European Funds, Roxana Mînzatu, in Glina, where she visited, together with Mayor of Bucharest, Gabriela Firea, the stage of works at the wastewater treatment plant and the sludge incinerator. Authorities estimate that they will be ready in two years.

For the City of Bucharest, the waste management and the heating systems are under preparation with European funds, said Roxana Mînzatu.
