President Klaus Iohannis promulgated the laws to denounce the Intergovernmental Agreement on the establishment of the International Investment Bank, signed in Moscow in 1970, as well as the Convention on multilateral settlements in transferable rubles and the organization of the International Bank for Economic Cooperation, also concluded in Moscow, in 1963.
According to the promulgated laws, the government is mandated to take the necessary steps for Romania's withdrawal from the two banks, with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to announce when this process will end.
