Former Minister of Culture Raluca Turcan, under whose mandate the exhibition of Dacian artifacts at the museum in the Netherlands was organized, claims that there was no need for a government decision to remove the treasure from the country.
She says the regulations introduced at her own proposal refer to the need for a government decision if several authorities and institutions are involved.
This paragraph was introduced to regulate the involvement of military institutions, for example, in the transportation of exhibits, as was the case with the Rome exhibition, said Raluca Turcan.
The former minister said that the only institution involved in the project with the museum in the Netherlands was the National Museum of History, which is under the Ministry of Culture.
Meanwhile, Dutch police are still searching for the three men who stole the gold treasures from the museum in Assen on Saturday morning.
Several hypotheses are being put forward in the context of information about the origin of the stolen car used in the robbery, and investigators are focusing on visitors to the exhibition who have been behaving suspiciously.
