Radio Romania and the ABU organize the Media 2020 conference in Bucharest
The conference will open on Tuesday, June 30, at 09.00 hours local time at Hotel Radisson Blu in the presence of the Romanian Foreign Minister, Bogdan Aurescu.

Professionals from the media industry, experts, leaders of public and private media companies, personalities of the ABU and of other international bodies from Asia, Europe, America and Australia will gather in Bucharest between June 30th – July 1st to attend the Conference “Media 2020- Bringing Media to the Future”, organized by Radio Romania and ABU.
The conference will open on Tuesday, June 30, at 09.00 hours local time at Hotel Radisson Blu in the presence of the Romanian Foreign Minister, Bogdan Aurescu.
This is the first event which ABU, the largest audiovisual cooperation organization at world level, accepts to hold outside the Asia- Pacific geographical area. The conference will focus on the way in which the mass media will develop in the next 5 years. The agenda of the conference covers critical issues facing the mass-media industry, which is now in full reconfiguration process, such as: the Media Landscape in 2020- mass-media development trends, Radio and TV content consumption through the new media, mobile phones, Internet (OTT), hybrid platforms, etc., the Creation of attractive, interactive, audience-generating content, Media for children, TV productions in UHD.
The participants attending the Bucharest conference, who come from 4 continents, will approach the fundamental changes already going on in the media industry and the challenges of the future. This large-scale event is an extraordinary opportunity for Romania, a European country that, in this context, becomes a bridge between the European and Asian audiovisual media.
