Preparations on the seaside for the Easter mini-holiday
Articol de Radiojurnal, 30 Aprilie 2021, 23:09
The known atmosphere of the May 1st mini-holiday will not be on the coast this year either, but it will be better than last year, when due to the state of emergency brought by the pandemic, Romanians could not go anywhere.
Hoteliers are now waiting for tens of thousands of tourists and are developing the latest details, so that everyone feels good, while respecting the sanitary rules. According to the data of tourist companies, 35.000 people made reservations in Mamaia and Vama Veche, so the authorities also announced the mobilization of an increased number of police officers.
RRA correspondent Sorin Cealera is comes with details.
Reporter: Over 30.000 tourists estimate that they will be at sea these days, most of them in Vama Veche and Mamaia, where I am now. Earlier, the police told the press here in Mamaia that 400 policemen and 250 gendarmes will be on duty during the four days of the mini-holiday, daily, to ensure public order in the resorts, streamline road traffic and limit the spread of the Sars-Cov-2 virus. Police and gendarmes will act in crowded areas and will be present in the area of places of worship on the night of the Resurrection, stating that the self-declaration is not necessary, being only for those who go to the Resurrection service.
Mixed patrols of police and gendarmes will also be present on the beaches to prevent gatherings or even parties after 22:00. I would also like to say that the resorts are partially prepared for May 1st and the Easter mini-holiday. Here in Mamaia there are about 70 accommodation units open out of the 100 on the entire coast. Tourists have already arrived, some of them. You can eat on terraces on the seafront, the gondola works, but unfortunately the weather still does not make friends with those who have arrived to enjoy the sun. It has rained, the sky is cloudy, but the good news is that tomorrow there will be clear skies, and temperatures will rise around 20 degrees Celsius.
