The emergency ordinance on the extension of the energy cap scheme will be debated by the Senate on Monday.
The document drafted by the Government provides for the extension of the price cap for natural gas until March 31, 2026, and for electricity until the end of June this year.
Also in the Senate, discussions will begin on a bill on the protection of people who buy apartments under construction, drafted to avoid Nordis cases.
In the Chamber of Deputies, the final vote on the inclusion of victims of domestic violence protected by a restraining order and victims of human trafficking in the category of unemployed, for whom the state subsidizes employment, is to be held.
Also, on Wednesday, the deadline for submitting amendments to the ordinance on the organization of presidential elections expires.
The document passed the Senate in the form adopted by the government. USR, however, wants to amend the law so that voting in polling stations abroad will end on Sunday, polling day, at 21:00 local time, without reference to Romanian time, as it appears in the ordinance.
On Tuesday, on the other hand, the joint plenary session of the Parliament will be held to amend the statute of senators and deputies, so that unjustified absences of elected representatives will be penalized with the withholding of 5% of the gross monthly allowance, currently the penalty being only 1%.
The decision comes after AUR and POT representatives went on parliamentary strike, but still signed the attendance form in order to continue to be paid.
