The members of the new Government led by Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu were sworn in on Monday evening in a ceremony at the Cotroceni Palace.
President Klaus Iohannis wished the new ministers success and added that Romanians expect solutions and stability, but also a government that firmly maintains the pro-European trajectory of Romania.
Klaus Iohannis: You know very well the problems that need to be solved, it would take a long time to start counting them, but I think two of them are worth mentioning as immediate challenges for the new government. They are, of course, the construction of the budget for 2025, which is a complicated task, and setting the electoral calendar for the election of the President of Romania. On top of that, there are many other issues. Each of you, in your own field, knows them. I wish you success, a lot of energy, a lot of patience and many achievements for Romania and Romanians.
