The President of the Hungarian Parliament, László Kövér, announced that he will arrive in Romania on Tuesday, but as a person and politician and not as official of the Hungarian state.
Kövér László made these remarks in a letter made public Monday.
By this, the Hungarian dignitary answered to a letter, in which the presidents of the Senate and Chamber of Deputies in Bucharest, Vasile Blaga and Roberta Anastase, asked him to postpone the visit until after the local elections.
The two Romanian officials have said that the participation of Hungarian community representatives in the democratic Romanian process must be free from any interference.
In a reply letter, addressed to the presidents of the Chamber of Deputies and Senate of the Romanian Parliament, made public last night, the President of Executive from Budapest, László Kövér, shows that similarly appreciates the concerns that members of the Hungarian community in Transylvania to exercise their right to freely vote without any hindrances and democratically for the local elections in Romania, as the Romanian community across borders can do so in any EU country or in Moldova.
Hungarian parliament President also says that he wants to perform a visit similar to those made earlier by the fellow politicians in Bucharest on the threshold of various elections, for example in Moldova and Spain, democratically supporting the Romanian political forces from there and mentions that he is confident that he managed to allay the political concerns related to his move to Romania.
