The Consumer Credit Index (IRCC) fell to 5.90% per annum from 5.97% three months ago, according to data announced by the National Bank of Romania.
This is the first significant reduction in the IRCC in the last 12 months, which will lead to lower loan rates from April.
The index is expected to see a second fall from July to 5.84%. The trend is downwards and the development will lead to lower mortgage rates for almost 500.000 Romanians.
