On Thursday, the Constitutional Court will debate the submissions of the AUR, POT and SOS Romania parties to the law on the control of the use of airspace and the law regulating the conduct of military missions and operations in peacetime on the territory of the Romanian state.
The three parties claim that the law allowing the army to shoot down drones entering Romania's airspace in peacetime violates the provisions and the role of the Romanian President and that of the Supreme Council for National Defense.
The complaint submitted to the CC states that the Army would no longer be subordinate to the will of the Romanian people, but to the will of other peoples.
The three parties also point out that the Romanian armed forces already have the possibility to carry out peacetime missions in the country, which is why the law adopted by parliament was not necessary.
