At the European Council "will be a difficult negotiation"
President Traian Basescu has not ruled out on Wednesday, as the European Council in Brussels to reach a solution on the EU budget for the period 2014-2020.

Before he went to Brussels, where he will participate in the work of the extraordinary meeting of the European Council, Traian Basescu held a press conference on the Henri Coanda airport, in which he reiterated that "it will be a difficult negotiation."
President Traian Basescu has not ruled out on Wednesday, as the European Council in Brussels to reach a solution on the EU budget for the period 2014-2020.
"I can tell you, from the contacts we have had with the members of the European Council, that they all have complaints , but there is a desire to reach a negotiated settlement in order to solve broadly the national interest accommodation of the maintenance of a United Europe.
"Even last night I had the last discussions, including with the United Kingdom. Do not exclude the possibility that the Council does not reach a solution, so this is not excluded, but my opinion is that they all want to get to a solution or almost all.
"As far as we are concerned, as I have informed much of the partners, including President Van Rompuy, with whom I discussed the proposal that launched him, aimed at a reduction of 75-80 billion, that things must be negotiated", reaffirmed the Chief of State.
Basescu said that Romania has a low absorption of 9,72 per cent on cohesion funds.
