Eliza G (Italy) is the winner of the Grand Trophy of "Golden Stag" International Music Festival (Cerbul de Aur in Romanian) and of the prize of 25,000 euros.
”I'm very happy. It's my first prize. I will invest all my hard earned money in my career”, said Elisa, according to Bianca Bucă, Radio România Braşov FM.
Other winners of the festival:
- First Prize – Sara De Blue (Austria)
- Second Prize – Rafs Eilands (Latvia)
- Third Prize – Monika Marija (Lithuania)
- Best performance of a Romanian language song – Alfie Acuri (Australia)
- Press Award – Syuzanna Melqonyan (Armenia)
- Public Award – Florin Răduță (Romania).
Among artists who also competed were Tamara (Georgia), Anna Odobescu (Republic of Moldova), Cynthia Verazie (Cyprus), Renate (Romania).
The 12 artists who performed in Brașov were from Georgia, Latvia, Italy, Romania, Moldova, Australia, Cyprus, Armenia, Lithuania, and Austria.
Special guests were Irish star Ronan Keating, Emeli Sande, Ștefan Bănică Jr., Irina Rimes, Zoli Toth, Corina Chiriac, Gheorghe Zamfir.
Organizer of the event was the Romanian Television, and Radio Romania was the artistic co-producer.
Radio Romania Big Band, the most well-known and long-standing professional orchestra in Romania, together with 30 members of the Brașov Opera Orchestra, formed the orchestra of the 2019 Golden Stag International Festival, under the baton of conductors Ionel Tudor and Andrei Tudor.
