Unit 1 of the Cernavoda Nuclear Power Plant, resynchronized to the National Energy System

According to Nuclearelectrica, the work was carried out in safe conditions for plant personnel, the public, and the environment.
Unit 1 of the nuclear power plant has an installed capacity of 700 MW.
It was commissioned in 1996 and has so far delivered 133 million Megawatt-hours, representing 9% of national consumption.
The unit has also prevented the release of 130 million tons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.
Overall, the Cernavoda Nuclear Power Plant contributes more than 18% of the total energy production and 33% of the total clean energy production in Romania.
