Two distinct areas of secular beech forests within the Cozia National Park have been included in UNESCO World Heritage List.
The authorities in Vâlcea have already begun a project to attract tourists in the area, according to RRA Correspondent Ana-Maria Cîrstea.
The authorities hope that the interest of the foreign tourists' in the Cozia National Park will grow even more.
The two beech forests and other hardwoods are located near the Cozia Mountain and close to the Lotrişor Waterfall, two areas which are currently visited by tourists, but for those who are interested to admire the huge trees in the protected area, the representatives of Cozia National Park, along with those of an NGO from the city of Brezoi, are already unrolling a project which targets to promote forests from the perspective of a nature-friendly tourist.
Through all the specific activities of the project, the administrators of the Cozia National Park hope that only the true lovers of nature will enter the protected area.
