Top 10 car sales in Romania in 2010
Dacia sales have increased up to 350,000 sold units in 2010, more than 12 percent higher than 2009, Dacia business manager, Fabrice Cambolive stated.

In 2010, global Dacia sales went up to aprox. 350,000 units, 12 percent more than 2009, said Fabrice Cambolive of Dacia.
Approximately 1,300,000 Dacia automobiles are in use globally at the moment.
Worldwide, 150,000 units of Dacia’s Sandero model were sold in 2010, followed by the sedan type – Logan with 100,000 sold units, and the Duster – 70,000 units, but the model was available starting June 2010.
Dacia had a market share of 32 percent in 2010 in Romania, 100,000 units of the Duster model were ordered from Europe, and the model was awarded the car of the year prize in Romania.
"In Romania, Dacia sold 36,730 units in 2010, which point to a 31.7 percent market share. 3,047 Sandero units were sold, 28,857 Logan units and 4,826 Duster units", said the company’s spokesman.
Dacia's sale results in France were remarkable, 110,000 sold units in 2010, fourth place as a brand.
Also, in Germany it sold 40,000 cars in 2010, the same number as in Romania, a good percentage of that coming thanks to the Rabla program.
Other brands on the Romanian market
According to the Auto Manufacturers and Importers Association, Dacia is followed by Renault on the market, with 9,011 sold cars. Next up: Volkswagen - 8,859 units and Skoda - 8,471 units.
According to the ACEA (European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association), the Dacia brand had a 1.9 percent market share in the first 11 months of 2010.
The European car market had a 5.7 percent fall to 12.35 million sold units in 2010.
According to ACEA, Volkswagen is the European market leader with a market share of 11.3 percent.
