The State Mint launches the National Radio Day medal

Press release of the State Mint: In recognition of the role in the history of Romania, the Romanian Parliament adopted, on December 24, 2019, Law no. 255/2019 on the establishment of November 1 as National Radio Day.
On this day, we celebrate the mass media that we value and that is proving to be, more than ever, an accessible tool of information, education, culture, freedom of expression and public debate.
Professor Dragomir Hurmuzescu, the first chairman of the Board of Directors of the newly established Radiotelephone Broadcasting Company in Romania, is the one who made this possible.
From the first radio signal, the world was fascinated, the new method of communication producing strong effects in various fields: social, economic, military and cultural. With a market share of 30% nationwide and over 3.6 million daily listeners, Radio Romania is the market leader, according to the latest audience measurement study.
On this occasion, the State Mint launches on the market a new medal set named "National Radio Day", a product that is part of the medal program for 2021.
The set, consisting of a medal, leaflet and presentation folder, can be purchased from the State Mint stores at the price of 281 lei for the silver medal set and 121 lei for the copper alloy medal set; prices include VAT.
