An international assistance mission left Romania this morning, from Arad, to Croatia.
Following the activation of the European Civil Protection Mechanism, the Romanian Government has decided to grant emergency external humanitarian aid, free of charge, to the Croatian authorities who have requested help after a region of Petrinja was hit by a strong earthquake.
The humanitarian convoy transports basic necessities, namely: living containers, tents, beds, mattresses and sleeping bags.
The Romanian team participating in the mission consists of 30 people from the state reserves and from the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations.
