This year, the Romanian authorities intend to continue the steps for accession to the Schengen area and to the OECD and to support the European path of the Republic of Moldova.
These are some of the priorities of diplomacy from Bucharest stated in the annual report of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Regarding the conflict in Ukraine, Romania will support the creation of a mechanism for holding accountable those guilty of Russia's aggression in the illegal war against the neighboring country. At the same time, Romania's strategic priorities within NATO will be promoted, with increased attention to strengthening the allied deterrence and defense posture on the eastern flank.
Efforts will also continue for the integration of Romania in the Visa Waiver program, according to the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
