The President of Ukraine will speak in the Romanian Parliament

The leadership of the Parliament approved that the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenski, will give a speech in the plenary session of the legislature in Bucharest.
The event will take place tonight and is part of a series of such speeches by the President of Ukraine in the parliaments of several states.
The speech of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, will be broadcast in videoconference format here in Bucharest.
Deputies and senators will meet in a joint sitting at 19:00 to hear President Volodymyr Zelensky's speech.
The presidents of the two Houses of Parliament will also speak at the meeting.
As early as last week, the President of the Senate, Florin Citu, announced that the President of Ukraine will address the Romanian Parliament.
For his part, the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies, Marcel Ciolacu, argued that a speech by the President of Ukraine would be possible after the decision of the Parliament leadership and a request from the Embassy of Ukraine or an information from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Since February 24, when Russia attacked Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky has been on a tour de force and addressed live video messages to parliamentarians in several countries, thanking them for their help and further asking for support to counter the Russian invasion.
Thus, Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the parliaments of Great Britain, Canada, the United States and Germany, but also in the plenary of the European Parliament.
Also last week, Volodymyr Zelensky addressed a video message to the leaders of NATO and the European Union, who met in Brussels.
According to the decision of the Permanent Bureau, the speeches of the Presidents of the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies, Florin Citu and Marcel Ciolacu, will have three minutes each, and Volodymyr Zelenski will address the Parliament in Bucharest for 15 minutes, and, according to last minute information, Prime Minister Nicolae Ciuca will also give a speech at tonight's meeting.
