The poet Adrian Păunescu has died
The physician Ştefan Brădişteanu, director of the Cardiovascular Surgery Clinic of Floreasca Hospital, has announced the death of Adrian Păunescu this morning around 7.15.

The poet Adrian Păunescu has died at Floreasca Hospital this morning, the physician Ştefan Brădişteanu has announced.
"Today, November 5th,2010, at 7.15, the heart of the master Adrian Păunescu stopped beating! After many trials of resuscitation we had to give up and the master left us," Şerban Brădişteanu stated.
Adrian Păunescu was taken to Floreasca Emergency Hospital on October 26th, because of cardiac, renal and hepatic problems.
Since the moment he was hospitalized, the poet's condition become worse and worse, connecting him to breathing machines in order to keep him alive.
Poet, publicist and politician, Adrian Păunescu has died at sixty-seven years old.
He is one of the most prolific contemporary authors, made his first appearance in 1960 and then, managed the "Flacăra" and "Totuşi, Iubirea" magazines.
For many years, he had organized the Flacăra Cenaclu, means of expression that influenced several generations.
