Tenders for 25 electric trains for inter-regional passenger transport

The Romanian Commodities Exchange has started organizing the tenders for the purchase by the Railway Reform Authority (ARF) of 25 inter-regional electric trains for rail passenger transport. The trains would run between Bucharest and Brasov, Cluj-Napoca, Timisoara, Iasi, Galati.

According to an ARF press release, the tenders will be carried out through a competitive procedure, and the award criterion is the value of the unit compensation lei per train-kilometer, the lowest, under the conditions required by the documentation of the procedure. The deadline for submission of tenders is October 4.
