Sebastian Raduletu is the new Romanian judge at the European Court of Human Rights, according to an ECHR press release.
The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe elected Sebastian Raduletu for a 9-year term, which will start no later than three months after his election.
He obtained 84 of the 165 valid votes cast in the second round. ECHR judges are chosen from a list of three candidates nominated by each state that has ratified the European Convention on Human Rights.
Currently, the Romanian judge at the ECHR is Iulia Motoc. She will be active at the International Criminal Court next year.
