Saturday, national day of mourning in Romania in memory of Pope Francisc

Saturday will be a day of national mourning in Romania, in memory of Pope Francisc. The country's flag will be lowered at all institutions, in all police stations, in all airports, ports, railway stations and bus stations, on ships of all kinds and on boats flying the Romanian flag.

Radio and television stations, as well as cultural institutions will adapt their programmes accordingly.

Performances, concerts, creative workshops and recreational activities for the capital's residents, which were scheduled to take place on Saturday and Sunday on Calea Victoriei and on Major Vasile Bacila Street in Sector 2, will be rescheduled for future weekends of the ‘Open Streets, Urban Promenade’ project.
