Romanian Prime Victor Ponta appointed new ministers expected to replace representatives of the right-wing National Liberal Party (PNL) who had left the government on Wednesday, RADIO ROMANIA reported.
Dan Şova, currently Minister Delegate for Infrastructure and Investments, will replace Ramona Mănescu as Transport Minister, Youth and Sports Minister Nicu Bănicioiu is the acting Health Minister replacing Eugen Nicolăescu while Mihnea Costoiu, a Minister Delegate for Research, will become an acting Culture Minister replacing Gigel Ştirbu.
Doina Pană was nominated as head of the country's Work Ministry replacing PNL's Mariana Câmpeanu, Justice Minister Robert Cazanciuc will ensure the Cabinet's relationship with Parliament, Environment Minister Rovana Plumb will replace Lucia Varga as Minister of Water, Forestry and Fisheries while Foreign Minister Titus Corlăţean is the new acting chief of the Department for Romanians Abroad.
