Three Social Democrat (PSD) Ministers in the Mihai Tudose Government have decided to resign, PSD leader Liviu Dragnea announced after the end of the meeting of the National Executive Committee of the party, where the issue of governmental reshuffle proposed by Prime Minister Mihai Tudose was discussed.
The three are Deputy Prime Minister, Development Minister Sevil Shhaideh, European Funds Minister Rovana Plumb and Transport Minister Razvan Cuc.
Both the PSD leader and Mihai Tudose specified that Sevil Shhaideh and Rovana Plumb resigned because they could no longer bear the pressure they were subjected to.
In reference to their replacements, the party nominated, today, in a meeting, two leaders of county organizations - Felix Stroe from the Constanța branch and Paul Stănescu from the Olt branch - for Transport and Regional Development.
As far as European funds are concerned, the portfolio would be taken over by Marius Nica, the one who held this position in the Ponta Government.
Nominations will be submitted to the President of Romania on Monday.
Also today, PSD leadership has set the timetable for debates on the laws of justice and the establishment of the Sovereign Investment Fund, projects to be promoted through parliamentary procedure.
