A new kindergarten in the Republic of Moldova has been renovated with the financial support of the Romanian Government.
Kindergarten is in the village of Gangura, Ialoveni District, which benefited from investments worth 1.8 million lei, out of which 750 thousand lei were offered by the Romanian state.
Kindergarten in the village of Gangura, Ialoveni District, has never been repaired since its foundation, three decades ago. Before the renovation conditions were bad and the pre-school institution has been closed for several years. Now renovated, the happiest of all are the children but also their parents who do not have to take them to kindergarten a few kilometers away.
"Many things have changed in this kindergarten: windows, floor, furniture. I had to take my children to a kindergarten in another village, in Cainari, because this one here was closed".
"Rooms are bright, equipped with teaching materials, bedrooms are fit to age, there are new beds and new blankets and all things necessary. Conditions are very good".
"750 thousand lei of the money provided by the Romanian taxpayer have been invested, to which was also added the local contribution, which almost doubled the investment. This is an example of how the Romanian investment not only renovates, but also offers to mayors the possibility to increase kindergarten investment. Interior renovations and endowments have been made", said Director of the Social Investment Fund in the Republic of Moldova, Mircea Eşanu, according to Radio Romania Chişinău.
Opening event of the new renovated kindergarten was attended by a delegation of Romanian MPs, members of the Committee on Defense, Public Order and National Security of the Chamber of Deputies.
"It is a project that has at the core our most precious resource: children, who need education, social conditions and who, through such investments, can have access to services that configures their future in a healthy way. I deliver the message of Romania regarding its further support, through these projects, of the Republic of Moldova, in order to build together, to go together on a European road", said Parliamentary Committee's Vice-President Bogdan Ionel Rodeanu.
Supporting such projects, Romania brings European standards closer to the citizens on the left bank of the River Prut, said Romania's Ambassador to Chișinău, Daniel Ioniţă.
Romanian Government has allocated 26 million euros for the renovation and endowment of kindergartens in the Republic of Moldova. 845 kindergartens in the Republic of Moldova benefited from these funds.
