Romanian Film Director Adina Pintilie has won, on Sunday, the Golden Bear prize at the Berlin International Film Festival, with “Touch Me Not", an experimental movie about intimacy.
Adina Pintilie: “This award is very important, because we would like the dialogue that the film proposes to reach all over the world. So we invite the audience to dialogue, we invite all of you. It's time to celebrate those who were part of my team. I thank the whole team for the confidence shown in this long journey, I thank to the Jury and the Festival”.
"Touch me not," directed by Adina Pintilie, is a film about intimacy as a fundamental aspect of human existence. It is a European co-production, filmed over a 10-week period between 2015 and 2017, with a mixed cast of professional actors and people.
It is for the second time that the Berlinale Grand Prize is given to a Romanian Film Director. Călin Peter Netzer won Berlin’s Golden Bear in 2013, for the film "The Position of the Child".
