Romanians have a purchasing power per capita of almost 7.500 euros in 2021, half of the European average, according to a study by Purchasing Power for Europe.
In Bucharest, this indicator is almost 86% above the national average, but 8 percent below the European average. The data show that Romania ranks 31st out of 42 countries included in the European ranking.
The highest average net disposable income per capita is in Liechtenstein, Switzerland and Luxembourg, and the lowest values are in Kosovo, Moldova and Ukraine.
