RADIO ROMANIA NEWS - The National Plan for Combating Cancer will be launched on Wednesday afternoon, in an event that will take place at Cotroceni Palace, in the presence of President Klaus Iohannis.
In February last year, the European Commission launched the European Plan for Combating Cancer which allocates € 4 billion to fund prevention, research and treatment programs within the Union.
In Romania, at the level of the Parliament, a working group was created to fight cancer, which aimed at transposing the European plan into Romanian legislation.
Romania currently has a national cancer program at the National Health Insurance House, through which part of the treatments and tests are settled, as well as some prevention programs at the level of the Ministry of Health.
