Radio Romania's Correspondent for European and International Affairs, Carmen Gavrilă, won the "2017- European Reporter and Blogger" contest (Radio Category) organized by the European Commission Representation in Romania.

The Prize was awarded for five editions of “European Accents” and “Europe - Where to?” radio shows produced by Carmen Gavrilă on the future of the European Union. Radio Romania broadcasts “European Accents” every Wednesday at 21.00.

The awarding ceremony has taken place today in Bucharest and has been hosted by Corina Crețu, EU Comissioner for Regional Policy.

Category 1 (Radio): Carmen Gavrilă (Radio Romania)

Category 2 (TV): No prize awarded

Category 3 (Written and Online Press): Bogdan Stanciu (Transilvania Reporter and Revista Sinteza)

Category 5 (Investigation, Interview): Mădălin Necşuţu (Evenimentul Zilei)

Category 6 (Blog): Oana Bonu (Cityfemme.com)

Category 7 (Gallery): Paul Sinka (Paulsinka.blogspot)

Mention Awards: Robert Lupiţu and Aurel Marin (both at Category 3); Liviu Iancu (Category 4); Teodora Baciu (Category 5); Doina Ţăranu and Irina Bartolomeu (both Category 6) and Ecaterina Dobroiu (Category 7).
