Today's negotiations between PNL, PSD and UDMR for the formation of a government have ended, but it has not been announced who will lead the future cabinet. The representatives of the three parties are to establish and announce the name of the one who will be prime minister tomorrow, when the consultations with President Klaus Iohannis are scheduled at the Cotroceni Palace.
Today's negotiations between PSD, PNL and UDMR resulted in the composition of two variants of the future government, depending on which party will have the prime minister, PSD or PNL.
The three parties did not want to officially announce what name they propose for the position of prime minister, but said that the party that will not nominate the prime minister will have the General Secretariat of the Government and the Ministries of Finance and Transport.
Two new ministries were set up: SME Tourism and the Ministry of Family, one for PNL and another for PSD.
The three parties also shared the functions of secretary of state, chairmen of parliamentary commissions, prefects and heads of territorial agencies, depending on the parliamentary share.
So, tomorrow morning, PSD and PNL will announce what decision they took regarding the prime minister's proposal and with the joint proposal harmonized after negotiations, if necessary, they will go to the consultations at Cotroceni Palace.
Political sources say that PNL will hold the first leadership of the executive, through Nicolae Ciuca.
