Exhibition "Faces of war", by Radio Romania News war correspondent Ilie Pintea, has been opened today at the NATO headquarters in Brussels.
Exhibition is an opportunity to reflect on the Alliance's important role in Afghanistan, including Romania's contribution, and its opening coincides with the first day of NATO's defense ministers meeting.
Exhibition of the Romanian journalist includes 27 photographs taken between 2013 and 2017 in the Afghan theater of operations and is dedicated to sub-lieutenant Mădălin Stoica, killed by a car-trap explosion in Kandahar in 2017.
Opening was attended by Chairman of the NATO Military Committee, Air Chief Marshal Stuart Peach, NATO Deputy Secretary General, Mircea Geoană, Romanian Minister of Defense, Nicolae Ciucă and other defense ministers from the allied countries.
