Nine Iraqis caught in illegal attempt to enter Romania
Turkish drivers and the nine Iraqis were taken over by the Bulgarian Border Police for further investigation.

Nine Iraqis were discovered at the Calafat border crossing as they attempted to enter Romania illegally, hiding in a minibus loaded with diving equipment, led by a Turkish citizen who regularly ensures transport of goods from Turkey to France.
According to Border Police investigation, Iraqis (aged 17-28) intended to reach a state in Western Europe. Drivers (main and second driver of the minibus) claimed they were unaware of people hidden in the car.
Following Romanian-Bulgarian Protocol, Turkish drivers and the nine Iraqis were taken over by the Bulgarian Border Police for further investigation and disposal of legal measures.
