The events dedicated to Romania's National Day started in Alba Iulia on Saturday.
Wreath-laying ceremonies, open-air concerts and other events to mark the occasion in the city of the Great Union are scheduled throughout the day.
Dressed in Romanian folk costumes, children from different parts of the country have come to Alba Iulia to bring a message to the country.
- Alba Iulia, the fortress of Horea, Closca and Crisan, the place full of sanctity where Michael the Brave's wish was fulfilled, that Romanians should be one and sole masters in their own home.
- /Honor/ for us, the Moinesteanca Folkloric Ensemble, the descendants of Stephen the Great and Holy, to be here before you today on this day of celebration and to represent the beautiful town of Moinesti, the sweet land of Moldavia.
- We came from Oradea, we came with good thoughts, to show our folklore, to make the world happy.
The ceremonies of laying wreaths, as well as the dress rehearsal for the military parade are also taking place today. At the third gate of the Alba Carolina Citadel, the traditional craftsmen's fair has also opened.
- I am a potter, I carry this craft from generation to generation. I inherited it from my grandfather. Happy birthday and good health!
- I came with what we have traditionally from there, from the Apuseni Mountains, from Avram Iancu, with Iancu's tulnicul, with donecute, ciubararașe, spoons.
- I make folk costumes, woven, sewn, hand lace. Happy birthday to all Romanians, all the best!
