According to a NAD press release, prosecutors within the Anticorruption Directorate have detained the superior advisor for the National Agency for Fiscal Administration, Nicolae Adrian Gavrilă, and the Bucharest lawyer Marius Stăncescu under charges of influence peddling.
The NAFA advisor was bribed with 1,800,000 euros in four years.
The press release states that during November 2010, lawyer Stăncescu Marius accepted the complainant’s proposal to send 1,000,000 euros to a NAFA board official and asked for 10 percent for himself.

They will be taken to the Bucharest Court of Appeal on the same day with a suggestion of a 29 day provisional arrest, the NAD stated.
