Professional testing started on Monday on the employees of the National Agency for Fiscal Administration (NAFA), the first to participate in this process being the ones in the Financial Guard.

A written exam was held today in nine testing centres in the country and will be followed by in interview in two days.

In the interview will only participate the employees who obtain minimum fifty points out of a hundred possible, and for those in leadership positions, minimum seventy points.

Depending on each person’s option and the result of the testing, the decision will be made on what employees will stay with the Financial Guard and how many of them will be dismissed and then transferred to the Reserve Corps of Civil Servants.

After the Financial Guard will follow the employees of the General Directorates for Public Finance and then the personnel of the National Customs Authority.

The professional testing and the dismissals of the least prepared are part of the process of reorganization and increasing the efficiency of the NAFA activity decided by the executive.

According to a government decision, adopted at the beginning of last month, the number of jobs at NAFA will be reduced with 4927, out of which 1200 are occupied positions – 600 at the Financial Guard, 300 at the General Directorates for Public Finance and 300 at the National Customs Authority and an additional 550 leadership positions are being abolished from subordinate NAFA structures.
