MNDSE Romania: NATO flags raising ceremony

Romanian Minister of National Defense, Mihai Fifor, and Chief of Romanian Defense, General Nicolae Ciucă participated on Friday, September 7, at the ceremony of flags raising and of playing the anthems of NATO Member States at the Headquarter of the Multinational Division South East (HQ MNDSE) - newest NATO regional headquarters based in Bucharest.

Ceremony has been organized as a token of appreciation for the commitment of the states that contribute to this multinational structure and to mark three years since the establishment of the HQ MNDSE, on 1 September 2015.

Event was attended by officials and ambassadors of NATO countries accredited in Romania, Ministry of Defense states in a press release.

HQ MNDSE has among its personnel officers, warrant officers (WOs) and non-commissioned officers (NCOs) from 15 contributing nations: Albania, Bulgaria, Canada, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Slovakia, Turkey, United Kingdom and United States plus Romania, which is the framework nation.
