MEP Eugen Tomac, the leader of the Popular Movement Party, announces that he will appeal the decision of the Luxembourg court, which rejected as clearly inadmissible his action regarding an alleged abuse of power by Austria in the case of Romania's accession to the Schengen area.
He hopes that the future full bench of judges will address this issue in a more complex and detailed way, in line with the Union treaties and the Schengen agreements.
In addition, the PMP MEP writes, the Bucharest Government has the chance to attack this blockage only by intervening in the process under appeal, which can no longer be rejected as inadmissible, since the Romanian state has the status of a privileged plaintiff.
