Investments in green energy, encouraged by law

Articol de Petruţa Dinu, 30 Iunie 2022, 22:48

Host: Photovoltaic parks can be set up on less fertile agricultural land and on land arranged with land improvement works located outside the built-up area, according to a bill adopted by the Chamber of Deputies as a decision-making body. Petruta Dinu has details.

Reporter: The initiators say that by adopting this law, investments for the production of energy from renewable sources are encouraged. The context is favorable, as our country has access to European funds for green energy production, both through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan and through the Modernization Fund. The law stipulates that the location of solar panels will be possible only on lands of maximum 50 hectares, with low efficiency in agriculture, those used for pastures, vineyards or orchards, or on areas arranged with land improvement works outside the city. The areas may be temporarily or permanently removed from the agricultural circuit at the time of obtaining the construction permit and once the related tariffs have been paid by the beneficiary. From these tariffs is constituted the Land Improvement Fund available to the Ministry of Agriculture, respectively to the Ministry of Environment. The Chamber of Deputies is the decision-making body, and the project is going to be promulgated.
